The Royal Customs and Excise Department, RCED, Ministry of Finance and Economy, plays a vital role as the bastion of national security and driver of fair trade. This was shared during the International Customs Day 2026 Celebration. With the theme, “Customs Protecting Society Through Vigilance and Commitment", the event was held 26th January morning at the said department.

Present, Dayang Hajah  Latifah  binti  Haji  Awang  Mahmud, Acting Permanent Secretary for FISCAL TWO at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The event included a presentation of epaulettes to the department's Officers who have served for more than nine years and the inauguration of the new Customs Agent Registration Unit Office.
